Terms of use
Last updated 1 September 2026.
These terms cover playyardkeeper.com and the game running on it. By playing, you accept them.
Who provides the game
Erwin Makes Games

Playing it
Yard Keeper opens in your browser. There is nothing to buy and no account to create. I am still building it, so I may change it, take parts of it out, or take it offline at any time, and I do not promise that it is reachable or that it runs without faults.
What you may do
Play it as much as you like. Record it, stream it, and put those videos anywhere you want, including on channels that earn money from them. Naming where the game is found is welcome and not required.
What stays mine
The game, its code, its art, its text and its sounds are mine, except where a sound or an asset came from somewhere else, in which case its own licence stays with it. So please do not put copies of the game on other sites, do not sell it or anything taken out of it, and do not present a changed version as your own work.
Please also leave the site and its measurements alone: no attempts to overload it, to break into it, or to feed it made up data.
Your settings
The game keeps your settings in your browser on your device, and nothing of that is stored for you on my side. Clearing your browser data, switching browsers or switching devices therefore starts you from the default settings again.
Feedback you send me
If you send me text through the feedback box on the death screen or by mail, I may use it to change the game, and you get nothing for it beyond a better game. Please send only what is yours to give away.
Privacy
What the game measures, what it never measures, and how long any of it stays is set out on the privacy page.
Liability
The game is provided as it is. I am liable without limit for injury to life, body or health and for damage caused with intent or by gross negligence. Beyond that I am liable only if I break an obligation that carrying out these terms depends on, and then only up to the damage that was foreseeable and typical. Your statutory rights stay untouched.
Applicable law
German law applies. If you play as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection of the country you live in still applies to you.
When these terms change
I may change these terms as the game grows. The date at the top is the day they last changed.
